  1. Damn, if that isn’t the truth, Robert! So glad someone is writing an honest poem about the “holiday.” And thanks so much for your comment this morning, my friend!

    Hugs from Ecuador,
    Kathy

  2. Oh Kathy,

Thank you for your comment. And thank you for suggesting that it is the truth. Your blog was fun to write a comment to. You can follow my blog by clicking the Follow button on the black bar at the top of the page.

Thanks again for your very kind interest.

    Cheers,

    R.

  3. Ditto what Kathy said, R. Excellent poetic description of the truth. As a British friend put it, the land you and I live on, given by Charles II to William Penn, wasn’t Charles’s to give. He snatched it from the Native Americans and gave it to Penn to fulfill a debt to Penn’s father. So, what’s new…?

Oh, and my browser sees the “Follow” button on the bottom right of the page.

  4. Thank you Sam, It’s easy to fulfill your debts with other people’s shit – nothing’s changed – though some of us do try to earn our own… as well as fulfill the debts of those that exhaust us with the burden of providing their wealth.

Here’s hoping your, “Holiday “, is warm and productive…

    Ever,

    R.
